Home Groceries lets users create and synchronize grocery lists across multiple devices.

Data processed

The app may process grocery items entered by the user, quantities, units, display order, checked or deleted state; local product history and related suggestions; text entered or dictated in Smart Add; theme, language, and unit preferences; an anonymous Firebase technical identifier used for synchronization; a shared list identifier; and a limited local copy of the list used by the widget.

Purpose

This data is used only to operate the app: create and edit lists, display items in the app and widget, synchronize devices connected to the same list, preserve item order and state, provide suggestions from local history, and interpret Smart Add requests. Smart Add first uses local or on-device processing when available and is not used to create advertising profiles.

Camera and dictation

The camera is used only to scan a QR code to connect another device to the same grocery list. If you use dictation in Smart Add, speech recognition and dictation are handled by Apple and iOS system services.

Storage

Data may be stored locally on the device, in the shared App Group container required by the widget, and synchronized through Google Firebase when synchronization is used.

Data sharing

Data is not sold. It is shared only with technical service providers necessary to operate the app, in particular Google Firebase and anonymous Firebase Authentication for synchronization. Data displayed by the widget remains in the local shared storage used by the app and its extension.

Tracking and advertising

Home Groceries does not use data for advertising tracking and does not track users across apps or websites.

Your choices

You may stop using synchronization at any time by discontinuing use of the app or deleting the app from your device. You can also permanently remove products from local history through suggestions. Checked items may remain visible as completed until they are deleted or the list is cleared.
