Atlas is a personal travel and destination journal. It helps you save visited places, favorites, trips, dated visits, and notes.

Data you add

Atlas may store the destinations, countries, coordinates, favorites, trips, visit dates, notes, and imported data that you choose to add to the app.

Location and maps

If you allow location access, Atlas uses it to center the map on your current position. This location is not used to track you in the background.

Photos

If you start an import from Photos, Atlas reads location information from the photos you select or authorize to suggest destinations to import. Atlas does not import the photos themselves into the app.

Storage and backups

Atlas data is stored on your device. If you use iCloud backup, a copy may be stored in your iCloud Drive. CSV exports and Atlas backup files (JSON) are created only at your request.

Third-party services

Atlas uses Google Maps and Google Places to display maps, search for places, and improve certain coordinates. Using these services may involve sending search requests or coordinates required for the feature you requested.

Advertising tracking

Atlas does not sell your data or use it to track you for advertising across apps or third-party websites.

Deletion and control

You can delete your local data from the app settings. You can also delete exported or backup files from the locations where you saved them.
